The Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN) announces each year the SEN Awards SEN Awards, which involve the recognition of individuals and entities that have carried out activities to promote Neurology in the scientific, institutional or social field.
In this edition Recoverhave been awarded with the SEN Award for Epilepsy Premio SEN de Epilepsia in its Social Modality along with Dr. Irene García Morales, in recognition of the Neurocooperation and Telemedicine project in Cameroon 2017 for the training of health personnel in neurological diseases and, specifically, in epilepsy.
During the campaign that we carried out, 40 Spanish health professionals traveled to Yaounde to do a training on neurology, especially on those diseases prevalent there such as epilepsy or headache. African professionals responded in an admirable way, as David García Azorín tells us, one of our volunteers who traveled to the field: "we trained a few and then they taught others, they showed that there was a great change in the knowledge of almost all subjects".
Thank you very much for the recognition! We will continue working with enthusiasm for a quality and sustainable health in the African continent, so that the place where we are born does not determine our health.
