{"id":10331,"date":"2025-09-10T10:41:41","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T08:41:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/?p=10331"},"modified":"2025-10-03T14:12:46","modified_gmt":"2025-10-03T12:12:46","slug":"stop-malaria-seminar-in-cameroon-against-malaria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/en\/seminario-stop-palu-en-camerun-contra-la-malaria\/","title":{"rendered":"Recover Foundation promotes the \"Stop Palu!\" seminar in Cameroon to strengthen the response against malaria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fundaci\u00f3n Recover held the seminar \u201cStop Palu!\u201d at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cameroon, a meeting that brought together Cameroonian authorities, representatives of international organizations and members of civil society with the aim of strengthening the response against malaria, one of the diseases that claims the most lives in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Jornada-Malaria-plano-general-de-los-ponentes.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10332\" style=\"width:521px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Jornada-Malaria-plano-general-de-los-ponentes.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Jornada-Malaria-plano-general-de-los-ponentes-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Jornada-Malaria-plano-general-de-los-ponentes-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Jornada-Malaria-plano-general-de-los-ponentes-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Jornada-Malaria-plano-general-de-los-ponentes-16x12.jpg 16w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the day, data, strategies, and experiences were shared around a multisectoral approach, in which health, education, and environmental management are presented as fundamental allies in halting the spread of malaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Jornada-Malaria-intervencion-de-Marta-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10391\" style=\"width:526px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the attendees were the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador of Spain in Cameroon, Juan Pedro P\u00e9rez-G\u00f3mez Delaunay, representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Cameroonian Ministry of Health, as well as the general director of Fundaci\u00f3n Recover, Marta Mara\u00f1\u00f3n Medina, and the program manager in Cameroon, Emilie Ngono.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the seminar <a href=\"https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/en\/report-of-the-fundacion-recuperar-the-impact-of-malaria-in-cameroon\/\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">A report was also presented<\/mark><\/a> Prepared by the Fundaci\u00f3n Recover, which collects data and recommendations to strengthen prevention and reduce the social and economic impact of malaria in Cameroon and in sub-Saharan Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this initiative, Fundaci\u00f3n Recover reaffirms its commitment to health in the African continent and to the creation of international collaboration spaces that allow progress towards a future free of malaria.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The meeting, held at Cameroon's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, brought together authorities, international organisations and civil society to advance prevention and response to one of the main causes of mortality in the country.<\/p>","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":10334,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"give_campaign_id":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[11],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-10331","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-noticias"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.3 -
