The Recover Foundation held the seminar in Yaound\u00e9 (Cameroon) \u201cTelemedicine at the service of equitable access to care: the experience of Fundaci\u00f3n Recover in Africa\u201d<\/strong>, an event organized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cameroon to share the results and lessons learned from 13 years of experience in Telemedicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day was inaugurated by Marta Mara\u00f1\u00f3n Medina, General Director of Fundaci\u00f3n Recover<\/strong>, and has been chaired by the His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cameroon, <\/strong>Chinmoun Oumarou, and the His Excellency the Ambassador of Spain in Cameroon, <\/strong>Juan Pedro P\u00e9rez-G\u00f3mez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar also included the participation of experts from World Health Organization (WHO)<\/strong>, of the Ministry of Public Health of Cameroon<\/strong>, Representatives of civil society associations and professionals from Cameroonian healthcare centers. On behalf of Fundaci\u00f3n Recover, the local team and Nery Villalobos, the Foundation\u2019s coordinator in Cameroon, participated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13 years connecting healthcare professionals<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, Fundaci\u00f3n Recover presented the main results of its experience with the Telemedicine platform, a model launched in 2013 that connects healthcare professionals from African centers with volunteer specialists from Spain and other countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform allows facilitating the Support for diagnosis, continuing education and the exchange of medical knowledge<\/strong>, contributing to bringing specialized knowledge closer to healthcare professionals who carry out their work in different contexts in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
