Thanks to <strong>support<\/strong>, commitment and collaboration of <strong>various entities and of our partners<\/strong>, we continue improving medical care and the wellbeing of local communities in various regions across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, for example, the <strong>Developed Medical Centre with Monavebe Maternity<\/strong>, Sangm\u00e9lima premiered in August a <strong>new haematology analyser<\/strong>\nthanks to the contribution of 9,000 euros by the <strong>Roviralta Foundation<\/strong>.This equipment will directly benefit some 3,700 residents, improve the quality of the medical services provided at the centre and bolster the work carried out in the hospital laboratory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Imagen1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"4686\" data-link=\"https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/?attachment_id=4686\" class=\"wp-image-4686\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Imagen2-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"4687\" data-link=\"https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/?attachment_id=4687\" class=\"wp-image-4687\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Photo 1: staff at the centre taking blood samples. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Photo 2: Haematology equipment in operation. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, the <strong>Bikop Catholic Centre<\/strong> you have received a <strong>viral load equipment <\/strong>very necessary thanks to the collaboration of <strong>Fundaci\u00f3n Sanitas and Hiperi\u00f3n<\/strong>. This centre specialises in the treatment of infectious diseases such as HIV\/AIDS, tuberculosis and hepatitis, and this device is essential so that patients undergoing treatment there do not have to travel to the country's capital to check whether it is producing the expected results. We estimate that this centre will perform around 800 tests in the next few months alone thanks to this device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the west of the country, the <strong>Batcham Catholic Centre<\/strong> will soon open new ones <strong>psychiatric wards<\/strong>. These modern facilities, made possible thanks to the support of Fundaci\u00f3n Recover's members, are designed to offer a more appropriate environment for patients with mental illnesses, providing them with single rooms and private bathrooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Imagen3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4688\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Photo: construction progress. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Likewise, we will continue working alongside health centres on the launch of the <strong>campaign\nCHANGE-<em>m<\/em><\/strong>\nwhich aims to reduce the incidence of the factors that favour the development of <strong>cardiovascular diseases<\/strong> in those over 30 years of age through dietary and lifestyle habit changes and primary health care. Following the visit in July by the team of volunteer medical staff participating in the project, we will drive the development of the application for gathering medical data, train the healthcare teams and draw up the dietary and lifestyle recommendations to be given to patients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fundacionrecover.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Imagen4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4689\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Photo: Volunteers Dr. Miguel \u00c1ngel Sauras and Dr. Javier S\u00e1nchez Ayuso with the staff of the Louis Kremp Catholic Health Centre. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, starting next October, four hospital centres \u2013 the \u201cClaudine Echernier\u201d and the Latiwa Development Foundation, both in Yaound\u00e9, the Akono Catholic Health Centre and the Njiss\u00e9 Protestant Hospital in Foumban \u2013 will launch a <strong>cervical cancer prevention campaign<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To this end, throughout this month of August, we have been preparing the awareness-raising materials with the local team from the Recover Foundation. Furthermore, in September, a local expert gynaecologist will train professionals at the Njiss\u00e9 Protestant Hospital in analysis techniques and results interpretation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout the campaign, it is expected <strong>reach 1,000 women<\/strong> to which, in addition to raising awareness and providing information on prevention measures and the incidence of the disease, screening tests, HIV tests and smears will be carried out. Likewise, those showing symptoms will undergo biopsies and, where appropriate, conisations and hysterectomies. This campaign will be carried out thanks to the contribution of the people who will participate in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/entradium.com\/events\/concierto-soul\">\u201cHealth for Africa\u201d charity concert\u201d<\/a><\/strong> organised by the female students of the 22nd edition of the High Potential Women Management Development Programme of the EOI and by the companies sponsoring the event: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionsacyr.com\/\">Sacyr Foundation<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fccma.com\/\">FCC Environment<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aqualia.com\/\">Aqualia<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.repsol.com\/es\/index.cshtml?gclid=Cj0KCQjwi7GnBhDXARIsAFLvH4n_xdIFLCtTew7kNledwRDg4f50sJKYRMNVUKsqoFq07ZmCXQh16vEaAtIDEALw_wcB\">Repsol<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.innovasur.com\/\">Innovasur<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.woombesp.es\/\">Woomb Spain<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gadisa.es\/\">Gadisa<\/a>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A medida que el calendario avanza y nos acercamos al \u00faltimo trimestre del a\u00f1o, desde Fundaci\u00f3n Recover queremos compartir cu\u00e1les son los proyectos en los que estamos trabajando.
