Within the framework of World Health Day, which is celebrated this Monday 7 April, the Recover Foundation joins the global campaign "Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures", which seeks to reduce avoidable deaths of mothers and newborns through prevention strategies and improved health care. To this end, the organisation continues to develop initiatives that strengthen maternal and child care in Africa, from prevention during pregnancy to improving equipment in maternity and neonatal care.
One of the most prominent projects is the LIFE prenatal screening campaignwhich facilitates early detection of pregnancy complications and ensures adequate medical follow-up for pregnant women. Since its inception, it has improved prenatal care for 200 expectant mothers.
