For what purpose do we process your personal data?

To fulfil our foundational objective of access to quality healthcare with a future for everyone in sub-Saharan Africa, we process the data of our members, donors, volunteers, collaborators, interested parties and online shop customers for the following purposes:
– Manage the relationship with members, donors, volunteers, collaborators and stakeholders.
- To send information about RECOVER via SMS, telephone, post, e-mail, even when our relationship has ended, unless the interested party states otherwise; and to respond to requests for information.
- Promote financial collaboration with RECOVER, as well as other types of active participation.
- Encourage collaboration in RECOVER through the volunteer network.
- Coordinate participation in activities organised by or for the RECOVER volunteer network.
- Invite to acts or events organised by RECOVER.
– Carry out customer satisfaction surveys.
– Process purchases made in the online store, confirm orders, manage payment, issue invoices or receipts where applicable, prepare and deliver products, handle queries, manage returns, withdrawals, warranties, transport issues, complaints and necessary communications related to the purchase.
– To comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, consumer, e-commerce and data protection obligations.
– Preventing fraud, abuse or misuse of the website and the online shop, as well as maintaining the security of the systems.
- Basic profiling activities, based on the information you have directly provided to us, and aimed at ensuring the proper management of the above activities.
Additionally, we also process your data to send, including by electronic means, promotional communications regarding activities, campaigns and initiatives of a similar nature to those you have previously participated in. The acceptance of commercial communications will be managed separately from the acceptance required to process a purchase in the online store.

On what legal basis will we process your data?

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

• The execution of a contract with Recover Foundation, to manage the requested services and, in particular, the purchase of products in the online shop, order processing, payment, invoicing, dispatch, delivery, returns, guarantees and customer service.
• Consent of the user in relation to contact, subscription to contents and the sending of commercial communications, via e-mail, cookies or messaging systems.
• Legitimate interest of the data controller to protect the users of the FUNDACION RECOVER website from abuse and fraud in the use of our services.

When and for what reason may we provide your data to third parties?
We will never sell, rent or transfer your personal data for purposes other than those stated here. We may communicate or grant access to your data, when necessary, to Public Administrations, courts and tribunals, banking entities, payment service providers, transport or logistics operators, technological providers, hosting services, web maintenance, email, customer service, professional advice and other data processors who provide us with services necessary for the operation of the website, the online store and the fulfilment of our obligations.

Do we make international data transfers?

As a general rule, your data is processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). Data processing in the online shop

When you purchase products through the FUNDACION RECOVER online shop, we will process the personal data necessary to process the purchase, manage payment, prepare the delivery or collection, handle queries and incidents, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

The categories of data that we may process during the purchasing process are: email address; guest purchase status; selected delivery method, whether shipping or collection; delivery country or region, currently Spain; first and last name; company, if provided voluntarily; postal address, flat, room, staircase or other supplementary delivery details; postcode; city; province selected or indicated in the form, currently Madrid; telephone number, if provided voluntarily; indication of whether the same address is to be used for billing; purchased products; order number.

If you require an invoice, you must select the «I wish to receive an invoice» option during the check-out process. In this case, we will process the necessary data for its issuance, dispatch and retention, in accordance with applicable regulations.

Regarding payment methods, the store allows payment by credit card via Servired/RedSys, as well as via PayPal. When payment is processed through Servired/RedSys, FUNDACION RECOVER will not access or store your full card details, which will be processed directly by the payment service provider. FUNDACION RECOVER may process the information necessary to confirm the payment status, reconcile the transaction, manage incidents, handle refunds and comply with its legal obligations.

The specific purposes of this processing are: to manage the order and the contractual sales relationship; to send confirmations and necessary communications regarding the purchase; to process payment; to prepare the delivery or collection; to manage invoice requests; to handle enquiries, returns, withdrawals, guarantees, incidents and complaints; to prevent fraud, errors or misuse; and to comply with legal, tax, accounting, consumer, e-commerce and data protection obligations.

The primary legal basis for processing this data is the performance of the sales contract or the application of pre-contractual measures requested by the user. The processing of tax, accounting, consumption, warranty, claims, and record-retention data is based on compliance with legal obligations. Fraud prevention, website security, and routine incident management may be based on the legitimate interest of FUNDACIÓN RECOVER. Commercial communications and non-exempt cookies will only be processed on the legal basis applicable in each case and, where necessary, by means of separate consent.

How long will we keep your data for?

Your personal data will be kept while your relationship with RECOVER is maintained, and even after the termination of said relationship for any cause during the applicable statutory limitation periods, unless you inform us otherwise. In this event, they will be processed for the purpose of demonstrating compliance with our legal and/or contractual obligations. Data relating to purchases, payments, invoicing, deliveries, returns, warranties, complaints and incidents will be kept for the periods necessary to manage the contractual relationship and meet applicable legal, tax, accounting, consumer and rights-defence obligations.
