The general director of Fundación Recover, Hospitals for Africa has been selected by the newspaper El Español between the Top 100 Women Leaders in Spain in the category of Public, Institutional and Social Impact.
Having also been selected in 2022 and 2023, this third award places it among the best in the world. Top 100 HonoreesThis milestone reinforces its role as a benchmark in the field of development cooperation, humanitarian action and social impact.
As highlighted in the article published by El EspañolMarta Marañón has been working in the third sector for 20 years. In 2003 she was appointed deputy director general of the DARA International Foundation, dedicated to the evaluation and monitoring of development cooperation and humanitarian aid interventions, where she conducted work missions in crisis contexts and in multiple countries in Latin America, Africa and Asia.
In 2011, she joined Ayuda en Acción's management team, where she contributed to boosting institutional relations and strategic alliances with the private sector. Since January 2023, she has been CEO of the Recover Hospitals for Africa Foundation, specialising in health cooperation in the sub-Saharan Africa region.
For the Recover Foundation, this recognition reaffirms its director's commitment to improving healthcare for the most disadvantaged people in Africa.
