The gynaecologist Elena Rojo and the midwives Ana Inaraja and Sandra García, from the Infanta Elena University Hospital in Valdemoro, shared their experience as Recover Foundation volunteers in Cameroon with the staff of the hospital's gynaecology unit. In June, they carried out a training campaign on pelvic ultrasound and obstetric emergenciesDuring the course, they trained 17 health professionals and treated 50 patients in two health centres in the country.
The session was opened by the director of the Recover Foundation, Marta Marañón, who presented the foundation and the possible synergies of collaboration between the organisation and the hospital.
This mission consolidates the collaboration between the Recover Foundation and the Infanta Elena University Hospital, whose professionals have participated in various field campaigns over the last three years to strengthen health training and improve access to medical care.
