At Fundación Recover, we are convinced that access to specialised training is essential to strengthen healthcare systems in Africa. That is why, in April, the Dr Martial Ngounouor, general practitioner at a health centre in Cameroon has completed a rotation in general and digestive surgery at the Fundación Jiménez Díaz University Hospital in Madrid.

This opportunity has been made possible by the Recover Foundation grant, which Dr Ngounzo received after being awarded the 1st Telemedicine Prize (in the physician category) for 2023-2024, for his outstanding participation on the Recover platform. His dedication and commitment to telehealth have been instrumental in improving healthcare in their community, and this training will allow them to continue progressing in their valuable work.
