From patient to nurse: Nemata's story

Nemata, who underwent heart surgery in 2018 by Dr Aldamiz in Spain, has overcome her illness and, in 2025, has graduated as a nurse to care for others as lovingly as she was cared for.

Nemata lives in Burkina Faso, the ninth poorest country in the world, currently in the midst of a severe humanitarian crisis. In 2018, Nemata underwent heart surgery by Dr Aldamiz and his team at the Quirónsalud Hospital in Albacete. This intervention transformed her life and motivated her to embark on a new path.

Today, in 2025, Nemata has managed to graduate as a nurse, a profession she is very proud of, as it allows her to care for others, just as she was once cared for herself.
