About us

Recover Foundation has been carrying out health cooperation in Sub-Saharan Africa since 2007

Vision, mission and values

Vision

We envision a world where all people in Africa have access to decent, quality healthcare

Mission

Strengthening the capacities of the health centres with which we collaborate, as well as their staff, so that, in a sustainable way, they can offer dignified and quality health care to people with few resources in Africa.

Values

Professionalism

We work with ethical principles and professional rigour, oriented towards achieving results that have a positive impact on people's lives.

Sustainability

We provide medium-term support until the centres with which we collaborate are sustainable and self-sufficient, without generating dependency.

Proximity

We want all the entities and people we collaborate with to feel close to us and to communicate openly with us.

Transparency

We guarantee the economic traceability of the aid and rigorous accountability. We have the "Donate with Confidence" seal of the Fundación Lealtad.

Who we are

We are a secular, independent, non-profit organisation that has been providing health cooperation in Africa since 2007. Our headquarters are in Madrid and we have a regional office in Cameroon with our own local team.

Together with our partners and individual or corporate collaborators, we address our commitment to improving healthcare for millions of people, thanks to a team of professionals specialised in development cooperation, and more than 70 volunteers , mainly healthcare and hospital management professionals.

The Recover Foundation is registered in public records and declared a public utility as a development cooperation foundation.

Our history

The Recover Foundation was established in Spain on 6 November 2006 thanks to the initiative of a group of professionals linked to the health sector, concerned about healthcare in the most disadvantaged countries, especially in Africa, where there are major deficiencies in the provision of health services with certain guarantees and at an affordable price. With this objective in mind, in October 2007, we began our work as a foundation specialising in health in Africa.
