The Recover Foundation project, "Mobile maternal and child clinics for 12 rural clinics in West Cameroon".which seeks to improve health care for the mother and child population of the region, was one of the 35 selected from among the 700 applications submitted for the XIII Ayudas a Proyectos de Acción Social (13th Social Action Project Grants).
Thanks to the provision of five motorbike tricycle ambulance vehicles, which will function as mobile clinics, more than 3,000 children and pregnant women from disadvantaged communities and with limited access to health care resources will benefit from a continuous attention. In addition, the project includes the training of healthcare workers through Telemedicinewith the support of Spanish health volunteers.
The Recover Foundation would like to thank the Mutua Madrileña Foundation for its trust in our work and its support to continue improving access to health care in Africa.
