A night of soul to improve prenatal care for the most vulnerable women in Africa

The Soul Track solidarity concert at the Morocco Hall in Madrid brought together an audience dedicated to the Foundation Recover on Friday. The funds will be used to purchase portable ecographs for health centers in rural communities in Cameroon and Benin.

Sala Morocco, next to the Gran Vía in Madrid, hosted the solidarity concert on Friday. Health for Africa, for the benefit of Fundación Recover The event was sponsored by Tinkle and the support of Gadisa. The soul band Soul Track He put music to an evening that the audience enjoyed and got involved with the cause.

The funds raised, thanks also to the contributions of those who participated through the Line Zero, They will be used to purchase portable ultrasound scanners. These equipment will allow improve prenatal control and reach women who live in very isolated rural environments, where births often occur at home with the complications that this can entail. The project will benefit thousands of women and children who are born in rural communities or in very disadvantaged peri-urban areas of Cameroon and Benin.

Marta Marañón, general director of Fundación Recover, dedicated a few words of thanks to those who collaborated in the realization of the concert: «Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for another year to the Soul Track group for making it possible and for their commitment to our cause. Many thanks to Tinkle for their valuable collaboration and for having supported this solidarity initiative that will allow for better prenatal monitoring in order to benefit thousands of women and children born in rural communities or in very disadvantaged periurban areas in Cameroon and Benin.
