A group of volunteers from Ferrovial recently traveled to the West of Cameroon to participate in a project to improve access to drinking water and sanitation in a health center with which Fundación Recover collaborates.
During the mission, the volunteers visited the Njissé Hospital in the town of Foumban, where they were able to to get first-hand knowledge of the existing infrastructure and the needs of the center. On the ground, they worked alongside the local team and with project technicians from Fundación Recover who had travelled from Spain;, contributing to the analysis and improvement of the facilities.

In this context, His Excellency the Ambassador of Spain in Cameroon, Juan Pedro Pérez-Gómez, received a delegation composed of members of Fundación Recover and Ferrovial at the Spanish Embassy in Yaoundé. The meeting was attended by Volunteers from Ferrovial Luis Fernando Amigo Linares, Gonzalo Pedraz Yáñez and Grace Elizabeth Surgent, along with Ricardo Navas, responsible for Ferrovial’s CSR Programs. On behalf of Fundación Recover, Emilie Ngono, representative for Africa and responsible for the Cameroon Program; Cristina Rodrigo Ferrán, manager of the Volunteering, Training and Patients program; and Denise Bundt, from the program area, attended the event.
