IV Informe Recover sobre Telemedicina: una ventana al desarrollo sanitario en África

Fundación Recover, Hospitales para África ha llevado a cabo, a lo largo del último año, una exhaustiva investigación acerca del origen de la telemedicina en el mundo y cómo ésta puede convertirse en una herramienta que ofrezca formación continua, conocimiento, intercambio y desarrollo.

«Fundación Recover, Hospitales para África» ha llevado a cabo, a lo largo del último año, una exhaustiva investigación acerca del origen de la telemedicina en el mundo y cómo ésta puede convertirse en una herramienta que ofrezca formación continua, conocimiento, intercambio y desarrollo.

En nuestro país, la Fundación Recover lleva poniendo en marcha esta tecnología desde hace una década, gracias al programa “Telemedicina: sanidad que conecta”, que ha logrado que hospitales africanos y médicos especialistas voluntarios en España puedan contactar en directo o diferido en casos complejos, con fines colaborativos.

La investigación realizada tiene como objeto dar a conocer cómo la telemedicina ha llegado hasta aquí, desde el origen de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (de aquí en adelante, TIC), y su evolución tras casi un siglo de constante desarrollo tecnológico, y, por otro lado, cuál puede ser el futuro de la medicina en conjunción con las telecomunicaciones.
