The Nuevo Teatro Alcalá de Madrid hosted the solidarity concert of the group A Contraluz, an initiative promoted by Asomega Axuda in Support for projects in Western Sahara from the Recover Foundation and the Office of Solidarity Action and Cooperation of the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM).
On behalf of Recover, our general director, Marta Marañón Medina, participated. On behalf of the UAM, Ruth Campos, Vice Rector for Social and Cultural Engagement, and Silvia Arias, Director of the Office of Solidarity Action, were present.
The Collection The entire concert will be donated to to continue the Training project for healthcare workers working in the Sahrawi Refugee Camps, This is a key training to provide the most dignified healthcare possible to a population that has been living in the Tinduf camps for almost 50 years.

Our thanks go to ASOMEGA and, especially, to its president Julio Ancochea for their constant commitment to Western Sahara; to the Xunta de Galicia for their sponsorship; and to the A Contraluz group for their altruistic collaboration, which has enabled all the funds raised to be used entirely to improve the healthcare of the Sahrawi population.
Thanks also to all the people who accompanied us and showed their solidarity.
We trust that initiatives like this concert will also help to raise awareness of the humanitarian crisis facing the Sahrawi refugee population and to defend their right to health.
